Our method

Make the answer clear.
Keep the uncertainty visible.

Optimize Protocols is a decision tool, not a substitute for care. Here is how we turn a noisy topic into a practical starting point.

01

Structure first

We extract the goal, dose, timing, frequency, equipment, commitment, and stopping rules before writing the explanation.

02

Trace the evidence

Where possible, we prioritize systematic reviews, consensus guidance, primary research, and official safety information.

03

Name the tradeoffs

Time, cost, complexity, equipment, evidence, and adherence are part of the answer—not fine print.

Protocol score

Useful is more than “science-backed.”

Our 100-point protocol score is an editorial decision aid. It combines seven separately stored dimensions:

EvidenceAdherenceTimeCostComplexityConvenienceEquipment

Scores are comparative, not clinical. An 88 does not mean an 88% chance of benefit, and it is not a grade for an individual study. It means the protocol is relatively well-supported, actionable, and practical compared with other options in the library.

Editorial policy

Independence before inventory.

Protocol steps are set before products are selected. We do not make a protocol more complicated to create something to sell. Evidence labels reflect the broad research base and are updated as the evidence changes.

Affiliate disclosure

Commerce supports the library.

Some links may earn a commission without changing your price. A commercial relationship does not guarantee placement. Free and use-what-you-have options remain visible when they are the better answer.

Health information has limits.

Content on Optimize Protocols is educational and general. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or a patient–clinician relationship. Personal risks can change what is appropriate. Speak with a qualified health professional before making decisions about symptoms, conditions, medicines, supplements, or demanding physical practices.
